Description

Spring Lake Ranch Therapeutic Community in Cuttingsville: Comprehensive Care Spring Lake Ranch Therapeutic Community in Cuttingsville: Comprehensive Care

Spring Lake Ranch delivers a prolonged residential experience (extending beyond six months) for adults grappling with mental health concerns, often in conjunction with addiction problems. It is not intended as a program for drug and alcohol recovery. Those with substance dependencies need to achieve at least 30 days of sobriety prior to enrollment and pledge to sustain sobriety throughout their stay. As a privately financed facility, we do not accept insurance policies, but we offer some aid for finances depending on individual requirements.

Mission

Spring Lake Ranch offers an extended residential initiative (lasting over six months) aimed at adults facing mental health challenges, frequently alongside addiction-related difficulties. We do not function as a substance abuse recovery center. Individuals dealing with addiction must maintain sobriety for a minimum of 30 days before joining and commit to remaining substance-free during the entire program. Our center operates on a self-funded model and does not cover insurance, though we provide limited financial support based on demonstrated need.

Therapeutic Work Engagement

The essence of everyday routines at the Ranch revolves around purposeful tasks. This creates opportunities for participants to encounter both challenges and encouragement. As individuals and team members collaborate to manage our property and livestock while addressing community requirements, they discover significance and acquire valuable abilities. Daily, groups of residents and staff engage in the essential activities needed to sustain a community of approximately 70 people. We have four teams that dedicate five hours each day to these efforts. The therapeutic elements of our program, backed by our qualified clinical experts, beautifully enhance the work-based therapy.

Reliable for Almost 100 Years

For close to a century, work-based therapy on our picturesque 700 acres in central Vermont has formed the core of our residential treatment approach. Routine duties such as feeding and tending to animals, sowing and gathering crops, erecting structures and crafting items, or collecting sap for syrup and chopping wood offer a structured routine through engaging activities. Involvement in the Work Program enables residents to develop and nurture self-assurance and personal effectiveness by completing projects, all while engaging in supportive discussions with staff and peers. Whether it's through nature connections, guidance from mentors or clinicians, or a feeling of achievement, our program creates a secure environment for building essential life skills.
