As part of the Italian Home for Children (IHC), the Brighton-Allston Mental Health Association (BAMHA) acts as a varied community mental health service that has assisted the Brighton/Allston area and the broader Metro Boston region since 1964. BAMHA also runs an outpatient extension in Jamaica Plain. Our range of services includes individual and collective therapy sessions, psychiatric drug management, and guidance for families and couples. We support clients from ages 4 through 80 and older. Our professionals are skilled in diverse therapy approaches, including traditional discussions, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, artistic therapies, and play techniques. Moreover, via our partnership with Community Based Programs (CBP) at Italian Home, we offer home therapy, mentoring, behavioral support, and ABA for children aged 4-20. Our experts speak more than a dozen languages, including Spanish. Openings are available immediately in all CBP services, and we provide telehealth options for your comfort and protection.

Our programs accommodate people from 4 to 80 years of age. Our clinicians are proficient in various therapy styles, such as conventional counseling, DBT, CBT, expressive methods, and play therapy. We also extend home-based therapy, mentoring assistance, behavioral interventions, and ABA for young individuals aged 4-20 through our collaboration with Community Based Programs (CBP) at Italian Home. Our staff is fluent in more than a dozen languages, including Spanish. We currently offer spots in all CBP activities and telehealth for your ease and safety.
