The Peace Adult Outpatient Center provides Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) developed to offer exceptional recovery support for adults 18 years and older. Our approaches integrate comprehensive care, tackling substance dependencies alongside mental health challenges. Our staff includes a varied team of professionals such as independently certified therapists (LCSW, LPCC, LCADC), clinical nurses, a care coordinator, psychiatric advanced practice nurses, and doctors. UofL Health Peace Hospital was awarded the 2024 Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) Quality Award for innovative evaluation methods in Adult Outpatient Services, representing the 9th win for Peace over the last 12 years.

Our services employ a comprehensive strategy for care, focusing on both addiction and psychological well-being. We feature a collaborative group of experts, including licensed counselors (LCSW, LPCC, LCADC), nursing staff, a support coordinator, mental health nurse specialists, and physicians. UofL Health Peace Hospital earned the 2024 Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) Quality Award for pioneering performance indicators in Adult Outpatient Services, marking the 9th achievement in the past 12 years for Peace.

Peace Adult Outpatient Offerings (IOP and PHP)

The Peace Adult Outpatient Center presents Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) aimed at delivering effective recovery support for adults 18 and older. Our care integrates strategies for substance-related issues and mental health concerns. We maintain a diverse team of specialists, including licensed therapists (LCSW, LPCC, LCADC), registered nurses, a case coordinator, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists. UofL Health Peace Hospital received the 2024 Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) Quality Award for forward-thinking performance metrics in Adult Outpatient Programs, with this being the 9th award in 12 years for Peace.

Program Schedules and Targeted Groups

We provide on-site Partial Hospitalization Programs from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 1:30pm, along with both in-person and virtual Intensive Outpatient Programs on Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm, or Monday to Thursday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, or Monday to Thursday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Our offerings include focused sessions for addiction challenges, psychological conditions, combined addiction and mental health issues, chronic mental health problems, and a dedicated group for older individuals.

Evaluation Services and Extra Support

Walk-in evaluations are offered around the clock every day at Peace Hospital, located at 2020 Newburg Rd. For clients referred by a counselor or behavioral health provider who have undergone proper screening, we can arrange an evaluation at the Peace Adult Outpatient Center instead of the primary facility; please contact us for additional information. We also supply complimentary transport for Jefferson County residents and on-site vocational rehabilitation for our daytime IOP/PHP and afternoon IOP; transport is not provided for evening IOP sessions. Our patient approval ratings place us in the top 20% nationally for those who would recommend our services, and Peace Hospital holds Joint Commission accreditation.
