The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center (BHUCC, called 'Buck') provides a calming space for individuals facing a mental health crisis to find stability. It accommodates up to 12 adults and a separate area for 6 adolescents between 13 and 17 years old. Stays are limited to 24 hours. Found in Long Beach and City of Industry. In addition, the Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) operates every day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., where people can undergo assessments and obtain short-term medications. Drop-ins are welcome (please call in advance for wait time information). After the 24-hour period, individuals are connected to other appropriate care resources, support systems, or housing arrangements.
