EVNSQ by Balance House in Holladay: Comprehensive Care EVNSQ by Balance House in Holladay: Comprehensive Care

EVNSQ emerged as our preferred option due to particular considerations. To begin with, those in the recovery process, particularly in the early stages, frequently perceive themselves as either above or below everyone else, underscoring why humility plays a vital role in 12-Step methods. It often feels like a constant rivalry. Here at EVNSQ, we accept individuals as they currently stand, regardless of their history or upcoming goals. Everyone operates on a level platform, neither elevated nor diminished. This aligns with our fundamental beliefs since starting treatment immediately helps a man confront his reality, his connections with loved ones, and above all, his personal integrity.

Mission

We chose EVNSQ as our top selection for several key factors. Initially, individuals in recovery, especially those just starting out, often see themselves as either superior or inferior to others, which explains the emphasis on humility in 12-Step approaches. This tends to create a competitive dynamic. At EVNSQ, we meet people exactly where they are, irrespective of their past experiences or future plans. All participants share an equal status, with no one considered superior or inferior. This core principle matters greatly because initiating therapy in the present moment empowers a person to address his circumstances, his relationships, and most crucially, his own inner self.

Personal Statements

Men's Recovery Programs in Utah

We selected EVNSQ as our leading choice for distinct reasons. For instance, people in recovery, especially during the initial phases, commonly view themselves as either greater than or less than others, which is why humility is essential in 12-Step frameworks. This can resemble a perpetual contest. At EVNSQ, we engage with individuals at their present point, no matter their background or future direction. All members are on an equivalent basis, with no superiority or inferiority. This is central to our values as beginning care in the current context enables a man to tackle his experiences, his bonds with family and friends, and primarily, his own sense of self.

Residential Treatment Period

In the Residential phase (Phase 1), our participants will join 15 to 20 group activities each week, along with 2 to 3 personalized counseling sessions with their lead therapist. Each person will consult with our Medical Director, Dr. Robert Simpson M.D., on a weekly basis. While this setup is common in such settings, our aim is to keep clients actively involved rather than confined indoors all day. We prioritize creative strategies, emphasizing the natural abilities of each client while adhering to proven therapeutic practices. Engagement through activities is crucial, and our sessions can take place in diverse environments.

Ongoing Support Stage

Upon finishing Phase I, clients transition to Phase II, called Ongoing Support, which spans 30 to 60 days. In this period, they will engage in at least 15 hours of therapeutic programming weekly, including 1 to 2 individual meetings. They will also have sessions with our Medical Director twice monthly. The goal of Phase II is to introduce more flexibility while solidifying the routines established in Phase I. Participants still need guidance, so the daily agenda features discussion circles, community support events, and social outings with fellow clients. Options include hiking, cycling, outdoor camping, winter sports like skiing and snowboarding (based on the season), plus other pursuits such as skateboarding, water excursions, and paddle boarding, with therapy integrated into these adventures.
