Assessments, Department of Transportation, Addiction Concerns

The assessment process examines client challenges related to DUI, addiction problems, family conflicts, anger issues, depression, self-harm risks, and traumatic experiences. These identified concerns are aligned with the specific programs and durations mandated by the Arizona Department of Health Services. The ADOT/MVD necessitates an evaluation for reinstating a suspended driving permit. This review assesses whether addiction factors influence the ability to regain driving privileges. The 16-Hour DUI Education course targets individuals with a single DUI or related incident and no additional signs of substance dependency. It fulfills Arizona's DUI Level II Education standards and covers topics such as DUI regulations, the dangers of driving under the influence, and the effects of alcohol and other substances on health, cognition, family dynamics, and long-term outcomes. The 36/54/72/90-Hour Treatment programs satisfy the criteria for Level I DUI Treatment for those with substance use disorders. They incorporate cognitive behavioral group therapy along with the Matrix Early Recovery Skills Program to encourage, build, and sustain a life free from substances. Level II DUI education is also included. Additionally, we provide an 18-Hour Education on Addictive Substances for individuals with a single non-DUI related citation involving drug paraphernalia, possession, or intoxication.

Programs for Individuals with Domestic Violence Issues

These initiatives comply with state standards for treatment of domestic violence perpetrators. They employ cognitive behavioral group therapy to encourage, foster, and uphold a lifestyle devoid of violence and substances. Participants learn to recognize, address, and eliminate harmful mindsets and aggressive actions. Individuals are instructed in non-violent dispute resolution, interpersonal and parenting techniques. Substance-related challenges and recovery strategies are covered in every session. We also provide Positive Alternatives Behavioral Therapy programs, tailored for those involved in non-domestic disputes, harmful and/or rebellious criminal acts (such as assault, vandalism, aggressive driving, shoplifting, or theft). These programs use cognitive behavioral group therapy to target and inspire changes in thinking patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses that have proven detrimental to the individual.
